One of the most beautiful and undiscovered regions of New England is in Litchfield County in Northwest Connecticut. The area's lush scenery, classic villages and quiet towns have a charm all their own. Many folks make it a point to journey to the area just for the fantastic antiquing. North Shore Boston

Even though it's just a short drive from Boston, the coastal towns on the North Shore really have a lot to offer. The beaches are great, the sailing's terrific and the historic villages and homes are truly classic. Put that together with some great restaurants and unusual shopping and it's a region your sure to want to visit.

The North Shore is filled with classic seafaring towns from Rockport to Marblehead, to Essex, to Manchester-by-the-Sea. Or who can forget the working fishing town of Gloucester, made famous recently by The Perfect Storm.

New Hampshire

New Hampshire is a much underestimated part of New England. It's hard to find a state that offers such diversity that is so close to each other. There's some of the best skiing in the east in the White Mountains, a lovely seacoast region near Portsmouth, and in the summer there are beautiful lakes like Winnipesauke and Squam that offer plenty of great outdoor recreation and leisure. Southern Connecticut

For many, Coastal Fairfield county is one part New England and one part New York. Some of the more affluent towns are well known, such as Greenwich and Westport. Providence

As a real testament to Providence's resurgence, the League of American Cities recently named the city one of the most livable cities in America. And it's no wonder.

Providence is a small, manageable city with a unique blend of arts and culture, a great restaurant scene, beautiful historic architecture…and it's all set in a really fun college town environment.
